The PC fails to power on.
I'm trying to recreate my old PC but it's not starting. The GPU is spinning nonstop and the CPU isn't receiving power. I've swapped out several motherboards and GPUs already. Just want to confirm if the power supply is the issue. Here are the specs: CPU - AMD FX-6300, RAM - 2x4 GB DDR4, Corsair XMS3, GPU - EVGA GTX 670 (2GB), PSU - LC Power LC6560GP3 V2.3 560W.
The positive side is that for a 670 (standard load ~150W) and an FX-6300 (standard load ~150W), you won’t need much more than a 450-500W device. All power sources are currently overvalued, but a reasonable budget option would be the EVGA 500GD for $70: https://www.amazon.com/EVGA-Warranty-Pow...B07WC79PPN. It stands out above the LC Power model in both quality and performance. You might find certain C-tier models around $10 less on other platforms, but reaching $60 is near the minimum for a solid power supply today. For roughly $90, an A-tier 550W Seasonic unit with a 7-year warranty and quiet low-load operation is available: https://www.newegg.com/seasonic-focus-55...ByNewegg=1
A faulty power supply might influence system performance, yet it's unlikely to completely prevent a POST from occurring.
Consider checking for warmth emanating from the CPU and see if removing the cooler's fan affects the temperature, while examining the heatpipes closely.
