I can run games and use my new PC, but when idle it freezes. All connections stop working and I can't power it down. The only way to shut it off is using the PSU switch. Please help.

Confirm if it's entering hibernation mode and verify your power settings in the Control Panel or Power Options.

During some tests I discovered that with just one RAM stick installed the issue didn't appear. However, adding a second stick triggers the problem. The RAM was delivered in two 16GB sticks, which are identical.

The issue stemmed from the PSU.
Resolved it by adjusting the idle power mode in BIOS and increasing the setting.
