The PC building PC has a solid white DRAM light, while only the CPU fan starts.
Hey everyone,
I'm trying to resolve this problem and wanted your help. Right now I'm assembling a PC with:
CPU: Ryzen 7 5700x3d
RAM: G-Skill 3600mhz 32gb
Motherboard: MSI B550-A Pro
Power supply: ThermalTake Smart W3 700w
GPU: 4060ti 8gb
The issue started yesterday after assembly. I attempted to power it on to post, but it didn't work. It kept showing a CPU error light. After checking, I realized the BIOS needed an update for the CPU to function properly. I flashed the compatible BIOS version, and now the CPU light is off, though the DRAM light remains active.
I've inspected all PSU connections—they're secure. I removed both RAM sticks, gave them a rest, moved slots, and tried other DDR4 RAM, but the problem continues.
The only thing lighting up during build is the CPU cooler fan; all other fans are off and not illuminating. I'm stuck and unsure what to do next. It feels like either the motherboard or CPU might be faulty.
If anyone has suggestions or recommendations, I'd really appreciate it! This situation is really frustrating.
