The Opera GX is experiencing issues when Night Light Mode is active.
Hello everyone, My Opera GX has suddenly stopped working and has reset my Windows Night Light setting. I’m trying to figure out if this issue is related to any of the games I play, my computer itself, or other applications. I suspect Opera GX might be the culprit. Usually, I run Opera GX on my second monitor while playing games on my main one (Forza Horizon 5, Valorant, Witcher 3, FIFA 17...). Occasionally, Opera GX crashes, turning the screen black for a moment and resetting the night light mode. The game continues to function, but Opera GX still crashes. Sometimes it recovers on its own, or I force close it and restart, which lets me see what I was watching—now without the night light. This happens even when I’m not using GXControl to manage CPU, RAM, or network usage. I’m not sure what could be causing this, since it occurs with multiple games but not consistently when I use Opera GX alone. It might be related to my GPU running low on memory (4GB VRAM), though I don’t know why that would reset the night light. Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated. Best regards, Eduardo
I could assume a few things: 1. Anti-cheats might dislike the performance limits in Opera GX (which feels ironic since it's a gaming browser) 2. The most probable case is that your setup is faulty. I’d resolve this by removing every part of the program with tools like BCU. 3. Your memory capacity seems full even with the browser restrictions. Check Task Manager to track RAM and VRAM usage. If you have more info, I’m ready to rethink my conclusion.
