Hey Guys,
I just got a new setup and wanted to know how far I could go with overclocking. What specs would I need? My motherboard is the MSI B350M Mortar Arctic. CPU is AMD Ryzen 5 1600 3400 AM4 met Wraith 80w kouder. RAM is DDR4 8GB 2666 CL16 Vengeance lpx. GPU is GTX 1050 DDR5 2GB. I have a 256 SSD and two 3 TB HDDs.

I’m guessing I could hit around 3.8 on my Ryzen? The box says “with turbo 3.7,” but can I push it higher? Also, what can I get out of my GPU and RAM for overclocking purposes?

Thanks for any advice on this!

For the CPU, there are no standard chips and it's hard to know what your chip can achieve in overclocking.
When it comes to RAM, you should aim for around 2666MHz. It's better to choose faster-rated RAM, especially since Ryzen boards are quite selective about RAM speed.
For the GPU, don't worry about overclocking.
And no, the GTX 1050 isn't suitable for VR. You'd need at least a GTX 1070, and even that isn't ideal for good VR experiences.
