This issue began a few weeks back. I attempted to upgrade to the newest driver version, but the installation failed. I removed everything using the uninstaller I found on NVidia's site, then tried reinstalling, which also didn't work. Checking the Event Viewer revealed that Malwarebytes was crashing. I removed it afterward. After that, I managed to install the new driver, though my web browser would frequently crash during streaming. I discovered online that the 566.36 version of NVidia's drivers offered better stability than the current ones. I repeated the removal and reinstallation steps, but the drivers still wouldn't install. Occasionally, I encountered a bad CRC error when unzipping files.
I ran Memtest86, which passed. The sfc /scannow utility reported some fixes. Samsung Magician confirmed my drive was fine. The Short diagnostic test and SMART test both completed successfully. It's a Samsun 980 Pro 2TB. I purchased all the necessary components two years ago. My graphics card is PNY 4070 Ti with 12GB XLR8 memory. The rest of the system includes an i9-13900K processor, 64GB RAM (Gskill Trident Z5 RGB), Asus TUF Gaming Z790-Plus Wi-Fi, DeepCool LT720 AIO, and Windows 11 Pro 23H2. I was using Edge to browse NVidia's website, which kept crashing. I applied driver updates via Armoury crate, and after rebooting, the MS Store appeared when trying to launch it.
I attempted to download a BIOS update and unzipped it—confirming it was a .cap file. When I booted into the BIOS and tried to update, it indicated the file wasn't valid. The system displayed a blue screen, but the QR code disappeared too quickly for me to scan it. Still, I couldn't get the video drivers installed.
I'm uncertain about the next steps to resolve this problem. Your assistance would be invaluable!

Welcome to the forums, newcomer! It's recommended to use DDU to eliminate all GPU drivers (intel, AMD and Nvidia) in Safe Mode, then install the newest driver from Nvidia's support site via an elevated command, such as right-clicking the installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
Also, note that you're on version 23H2 for Windows 11, with the latest update available at 24H2. For your reference, what BIOS version is installed on your motherboard?
I ran the DDU in Safe Mode and restarted the system. The NVidia drivers are still not installing. My BIOS is at version 1661, with three newer versions available. I've tried all of them but none were detected as the correct files. Is the .cap extension the right one? Also, I haven't been able to find 24H2 for download or installation.
But it should still work properly? I also tried the 566.36 version, as I mentioned before. Both of them don’t install.
I tried using the renamer and EZ Flash but it keeps showing the wrong file type. I have the original packaging and manual for the motherboard, so I’m confident I selected the right model. According to Armoury crate, my motherboard is correct. I might need to reinstall Windows completely to get the drivers working, and I’m still unsure about updating the BIOS.
