I began playing this again recently and noticed there are significantly more official maps now than before. There are probably over 12, many still featuring blocky designs without detailed textures. However, several maps are nearly finished and offer high visual quality. Most include music composed by three creators, two of whom were involved with UT99. The game remains in the pre-alpha phase, during which item and character unlocks are available. According to the promotions, these will no longer be accessible after pre-alpha ends—originally planned for October but now delayed. Here’s a summary of what can be earned by leveling up and completing challenges: https://www.unrealtournament.com/progression

I noticed this while playing the Fortnite Alpha. It seems to be doing well. Could be worth downloading.

It's really impressive if you enjoy UT99-style gameplay. It closely mirrors UT99 more than any other title. The visuals in the maps that are almost finished are also excellent. Another interesting feature is the variety of ways weapons can be employed—each has several firing modes and unique tricks. I aim to collect every unlock before pre-alpha ends, but progressing through levels has slowed down significantly around level 16, with the final unlock likely at level 50. There are also achievements tied to the number of stars earned from offline challenges, requiring 40 stars to unlock all. While not mentioned in-game, teammates improve their skills as you advance. I currently have 30 stars and need more levels to reach the final 10 so my team can handle tougher opponent bots.
