The new RTX 3060TI shuts down after a short time in Windows 11
I recently replaced my old GTX1070 with a new RTX 3060TI. After just a minute, the screen would freeze and turn black, showing only the boot logo and spinning circles. The system remained stable otherwise—boots, fans, keyboard, mouse all worked fine. Windows 11 was installed fresh from USB and functioned perfectly with the GTX1070. Before that, it worked with Windows Basic Display drivers, but needed a restart after installation before it would black out. There was no display issue with Windows Explorer either. I installed the drivers in safe mode, and everything worked as expected. This happened twice, and the same problem persists. The single HDMI port also caused the issue, though it worked with the GTX1070. I have a Corsair SF750 and am fairly confident it wasn’t a power problem. It runs stably on Fedora Linux, though nothing more demanding than browsing a browser. Being an ITX system, I couldn’t test other PCIe slots, but the display cable worked and I checked all ports on the card. I’m puzzled—since it works in Linux, a faulty card seems unlikely. The BIOS is functioning normally, which makes driver troubleshooting more likely. Installing Windows 10 didn’t help at all with the RTX3060TI. Any advice?
