At first, my system had DDR4 Trident Z RGB(2x8) 3200mts. I planned to upgrade to Crucial DDR4 Pro(2x16) 3200mts, expecting it to fit without issues. However, when I installed the new sticks in the existing slots, the computer wouldn’t boot. It worked fine with both old and new RAM. I’m trying to understand why this happened and why the two new sticks didn’t install properly. I verified all four slots were active and showed they were being used, but still faced problems. I also tried resetting the CMOS, but it didn’t help.

It might be a voltage variation between the two units, similar to the problems I faced with a Corsair Vengeance 2x8GB DDR4 3600 kit that operated at 1.35V instead of its default 1.20V. What are their voltages?

Your system appears to be running an older version, likely from before the 10th generation.

We need more information. What motherboard do you have? What CPU?
