Problem: Previously there were no internet problems on my old machine, but now it connects briefly and then experiences frequent ping spikes, dropping download/upload speeds, and high packet loss. This issue also occurs on the mobile data hotspot, not other devices, suggesting the problem lies with this PC.

System details:
- Motherboard: Gigabyte B650 Gaming X AX rev 1.3
- Operating System: Windows 11 (fully updated)
- Wi-Fi card: Realtek 8852CE WiFi 6E PCI-E NIC, drivers v6001.16.127.0 installed

Steps taken:
- Updated all software
- Reinstalled and updated the latest drivers for the Wi-Fi card
- Tested driver v6001.16.119 (worse results)
- Installed AMD Wi-Fi driver version 3.3.0.496 (no improvement)
- Ran all Windows troubleshooting utilities (results confirmed everything normal)

Feelings: I suspect a possible installation error, especially since this was my first PC build and I spent many hours adjusting drivers for WiFi connectivity. The symptoms seem specific to this machine. Please advise!

Do you have any unused antennas available for testing? What does Device Manager display? Are there any items missing?

Review router configurations for "Fast roaming" and disable it. This might be outdated information, but newer gadgets often face problems with this old setting, leading to certain outcomes. However, if your router is recent, you may not have the ability to adjust it, so consider checking if it’s still an issue.

I don't agree. There are no entries for 'unknown devices' or 'other devices.' All items in the network adapters are clearly present as far as I understand.

Thanks for the advice, this seems like a challenge I’d face, especially since I can’t reach my router settings. Internet providers in Australia often overlook user needs. I’ll keep trying to connect to my own router and will update you once I succeed. Thanks!

I looked around and sadly found that my router can't be switched on or off. I was able to give priority to my desktop connection, which might help, but it seems unlikely to make a big difference. Appreciate the advice!

Yes, I support several bands including 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz. I can choose the devices connected to your desktop and prioritize them accordingly.

Only up to 5GHz range is supported, yet it remains connected and receives priority handling.

If it works on other devices, the issue may lie with the antenna or Wi-Fi module on the board. It could be damaged, though unlikely on a new unit. Once you can access your Wi-Fi, set up separate SSIDs for 2.4G and 5GHz networks so only one band connects at a time. Then remove the current Realtek driver and revert to the version listed (e.g., .119 instead of .127) via Device Manager: https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/B65...ver-wlanbt
