The new PC isn't showing up after a cold start.
I've been facing this problem for two weeks and have searched online for solutions without success. I'm not considered an expert or even average, so I suspect I might not have checked the correct sources or asked the right questions. Could you assist me? I gathered this PC two weeks ago here: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/J3T6z6. From the first boot, I got a long beep followed by three short beeps. After reseating the GPU and trying to boot again, the same issue persisted. I also reinserted the RAM without success. Plugging in HDMI worked fine initially, but when I turned off the machine and booted into Pop_OS, the error continued. Intermittently since then, it happens on cold starts. To keep things simple, I switched back to Windows because I'm less familiar with Linux. Last week, after restarting, the machine still wouldn't post. I reinserted the GPU and RAM, but nothing changed. I tried swapping RAM one at a time, still no improvement. I thought about returning the RAM (via Team group) and ordered Corsair parts. Once the new RAM arrived, the error remained, except when I connected HDMI to the motherboard. I tested RAM modules individually, but none resolved it. I assumed the issue was with the BIOS—updating it didn’t help. I disabled integrated graphics in the BIOS, but that didn’t fix things. Turning off XMP also didn’t resolve the problem. I’m running out of options and don’t want to return anything unless it works perfectly. I can play games at 4K with high frame rates, run Alan Wake 2 at high settings with ray tracing, and get a decent frame rate. Overall, I’m convinced there’s no hardware fault, but I’m unsure what’s causing this. I only have four AM4 parts to test, but even with a working 1080Ti, 1050Ti, and RX6600, the issue persists.
