Both Linux and Windows installations are starting up. It seems you're connecting via the CD drive or the M.2 slot.

The m.2 is brand new and currently blank. It seems I might be starting from a blank disk or a USB stick. I'm wondering if using the CD or the flash drive could affect the boot process. My concern is whether dual USB Type A and Type C drives impact performance compared to regular USB 3.0 sticks. I've tried Sandisk drives before, all of which had dual connections.

I didn’t realize the sole dual key I possess was USB-A and Lightning. I simply use it with a single app on my phone for archival backup. I don’t think it would matter much, after all, since the real Microsoft CD keys are USB-A only.
