I recently installed a new computer and attempted to boost the RAM speed beyond its advertised 3000MHz. The default setting was 2400MHz, which didn’t meet expectations. After enabling a profile, the system failed to boot and entered safe mode multiple times. I then reduced the speed to 2933MHz, but it still didn’t work. Next, I lowered it further to 2800MHz, which also failed. Eventually, I settled on 2666MHz, which functioned properly, though I remain unsatisfied with the performance. I also experimented with adjusting the voltage manually to 1.4V, but that didn’t help at all—clearly there’s an issue. The CPU model is a 3200G MB, RAM is Team Group Delta RGB 2x4Gb at 3000MHz, and the BIOS version is 1804.

It seems the problem likely lies with the CPU. The 3200G is actually a Zen+ chip, not a Zen 2. You probably got lucky with the silicon selection. Still, Yoiu should update the BIOS to the newest release—bet it helps and could be the root cause.

I shared a quick guide. Open Ryzen Master, set RAM and fabrick clock to 1500MHz with auto timing, then reboot. Next, adjust CAS latency and CAS write latency to 16, restart. Add read ROCC column delay to 18, set active time to 38 and row cycle time to 58, reboot again and verify memory performance.

You should place the 3000Mhz component at the final step of the assembly process.
