Hey, I handed my 3060ti to my girlfriend so she could upgrade from the 1660Super. Unfortunately, the display isn’t showing any signal, the GPU powers on because the LEDs are on, but everything else is fine and there are no debug lights on the motherboard. If she swaps in the old GPU (1660Super), it should work properly. I’ve tried several fixes via video calls: re-seating the GPU/RAM, using a daisy-chained PCI-E connector, ensuring all cables are connected right, testing the second PCI-E slot, removing the CMOS battery for 5 minutes, and trying different monitors (DP or HDMI). I also checked the power source for the monitor. Still no luck—maybe the GPU is dead? I’ve just replaced it with a 4070Super and it’s functioning perfectly. Your specs look solid though: i5-12600K, GeForce RTX 3060 Ti EAGLE OC 8G, 16GB RAM, MSI B660, Corsair RM750.

Start calmly. The GPU seems functional. During your troubleshooting, I didn’t notice any instructions about removing or reinstalling drivers. That step is crucial when moving to a different GPU (even if it’s still Nvidia). First, detach the GPU and connect the monitor directly to the motherboard—this CPU relies on integrated graphics. Use DDU (Display Drivers Uninstaller) to fully remove the previous drivers from Windows. Power off the machine, connect the new GPU, then attach the monitor. Restart and check for a signal. Once drivers are installed, test again. If no signal appears, try connecting the monitor through the motherboard while the GPU remains in its PCIe slot. Proceed with installing the new drivers. After completion, power down, plug the monitor into the GPU, and restart. Does it respond? If not, adjust BIOS settings to prioritize the GPU properly—ensure it’s set for discrete graphics, not internal or integrated. Check multi-monitor support as it can affect graphics behavior. Experiment with enabling or disabling it. Consider switching to a different PCIe speed (Gen 3.0, Gen 4.0 or Auto) if needed. For verification, test the GPU in another system to confirm functionality. Good luck!

Thanks for checking, I'll try as soon as my girlfriend is available. Unfortunately we're far apart and I can't fix this alone. Yesterday I managed to start using just the integrated graphics when the GPU was still active (1660super), but it also worked with the dedicated one. I also changed the IGD setting in BIOS, but it didn't help.

Sometimes the computer will auto-default to the GPU if one is present and the iGPU will only activate when GPU is absent. I don't know if this is a BIOS bug or "feature" but I seen it plenty of times.

Hey, Finally had time to troubleshoot some more, we managed to start the pc with the integrated gpu and then ran ddu with clean and shutdown method, however the gpu is still having no signal. I've ran parsec on her pc with the integrated graphics and tried to install drivers, but it seems that the gpu is not recognized. I've also given myself access without her approval and we managed to start parsec with the 3060ti connected to the display but i couldn't see anything because it wasn't sending any video data (parsec's error message) I would assume the GPU is dead, also sorry for the waiting time.

It's regrettable, but this occurs. The final check before moving on would be running it on a different machine.
