Hello everyone, I've swapped my old CPU (AMD 2700X) for the AMD 5950X, but it doesn't boot past the BIOS. My motherboard (MSI X570 Ace) is running the newest BIOS, and I can see the new CPU and drives in the BIOS. However, when I save and exit, it just restarts to the BIOS again. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Have you attempted basic steps such as: 1. verifying all connections are securely plugged in, including power cables from the PSU 2. clearing the CMOS 3. reviewing your "boot-into" settings in the BIOS

All systems are connected correctly. I reset the 2700x and it started up properly. It seems the motherboard has a clear CMOS button—try that next. Appreciate the help if it works!

If there’s no button, you can take out the CMOS battery and reinsert it after a short wait. That should also refresh it.

It seems the system isn't recognizing a bootable device and is reverting to BIOS settings. Verify your connections and cables, ensuring they're securely attached. You might also attempt a different SATA cable if applicable. When using an M.2 drive, make sure the contacts on the drive and board are clean.
