I changed my CPU to a Ryzen 7 5700X and the system starts but doesn’t boot. I updated the BIOS to version 7.0 yet it still won’t power on. If I replace the new CPU with the original one, it works perfectly. I looked up ASRock’s CPU support list and it shows the new chip under my motherboard, so it should function correctly—just wondering what might be wrong. System details: Motherboard model 320 m-hdv r4, RAM Corsair Vengeance DDR4 2x16GB @3200 MHz, old CPU Ryzen 5 1600, new CPU Ryzen 7 5700X, GPU RTX 2060.

Checked the ASRock site and found BIOS version 7.1 required. I’ll start with that update.

some systems need to be installed in a specific order for certain BIOS updates, which is great news since you can complete the process easily—just start with version 7.0 and then move on to 7.1, provided your device has the earlier BIOS version.
