I’m setting up a brand new PC for my fiancée, with all components installed properly. Once I power it on, nothing happens. After some checks, I realized the power supply was faulty, so I replaced it with an older unit. Now it starts but there’s no display and it powers off on its own after a while. Could this be related to the RAM or the PSU, or is there another issue I should consider?
We need more details to help.. Full system specs, CPU, MB, RAM, GPU etc.... How long is it on for before it turns off? If you wait does it turn itself back on after a bit?
CPU model is I5-14600k with 14 cores, GPU is GeForce RTX 4060, power supply uses EVGA 650 gold, motherboard is ASUS Prime B760 Plus, RAM is GSKill DDR5. It has been running for roughly 8 minutes and is expected to shut down in about 1-2 minutes. It won’t power on by itself, but I can restart it manually. No video output observed. (Note: It stopped after 11 minutes.)
