There seems to be an issue where Network Discovery in Windows 10 Pro stops working right after you enable it. Have anyone encountered this problem? Looks like you might need to troubleshoot or restart the service manually.

Windows 10 remains Windows 10. I promise it activates password protection after each big upgrade.

I recently encountered a similar issue about two weeks ago on my NAS. The problem was that network discovery wasn't working—sharing settings were hidden. When I enabled network discovery and tried to reopen the settings window, it turned off again. To fix it, I followed these steps: first, removed the latest Windows update 1909, then opened Regedit, changed a registry value in the Dnscache service to "1", restarted the system, and after that everything worked properly.
