I attempted to send a movie from your laptop to your PC using Bluetooth instead of Wi-Fi. The speed shown is in KB units, which clearly indicates Bluetooth was chosen. Your laptop is linked to the 2.4GHz WiFi channel with a 30 Mbps connection, while your PC connects via Ethernet at 150 Mbps. Could this be why Nearby Share opts for Bluetooth? I'm looking for answers and want to understand this feature better.

No, but why you have even paired laptop with desktop over BT? I see no reason since you can use LAN for file transfer (you could set up shared folder over LAN). And both have network on their own.
