I just got the mw2 download and began the campaign for a couple of days, but recently I encountered an issue on the screen.

Several factors could be responsible for this crash. First, try updating your graphics card drivers. I attempted that but it didn’t fully resolve the issue—I still experience occasional freezes without a crash notification. If that doesn’t help, consider general troubleshooting steps. Adjust your graphics settings, such as switching between Fullscreen and Windowed Fullscreen. Also, verify if On-demand Texture Streaming and high shader quality are causing problems for certain players. Ensure you have sufficient video memory available. Running the game in administrator mode might also help. If none of these work, hardware issues could be at play. I found a Reddit discussion where disabling XMP resolved the problem. It’s unlikely but worth checking if you’ve overclocked your system and confirming stability under load. Some users report compatibility differences between Windows 10 and Windows 11, with similar results for each version. The game appears unstable overall; future updates may address or reduce these issues.

I handled everything, though I believe there will be a fix for this issue eventually.

When you're not in the settings menu, the feature known as parrellex effects is disabled. That's why I didn't experience any crashes after turning it off.

It seems like you're encountering an issue with a three-step process. Let me know how I can assist further!
