Hi,
I'm trying to understand why my i5 3570K keeps fluctuating between 4.25-4.29 GHz even though I set the multipliers to 45 and the BIOS says it should target 4.5 GHz. The voltage is manually fixed at 1.24 V, but according to CPU-Z it's actually 1.248 V. I'm also unsure why the core speed doesn't change even after adjusting the multipliers. I'm not very experienced with this stuff, so any advice would be greatly appreciated. I have a Corsair H100i cooling board and a Z77 sabertooth motherboard.

Does your motherboard include software for overclocking, and can it activate after power-on?
