I notice the specifications, there are more PCI-e slots and USB ports. I saw somewhere that actually, it's not just a different size board—it's a separate "family" of motherboard. The B660-A belongs to its own group, while all M series boards share that family, and some other ATX models also fit. It's hard to picture how much it changes if the features are similar, but aside from expansion slots, which I probably won't need, is there any benefit? (more foil on the board)
I appreciate the extra USB and USB-C options on the back panel, plus the thought of adding an expansion card that’s not right next to the GPU. While there isn’t a clear practical need at the moment, I understand the reasoning—my case is already sized for that, so it makes sense to use it. I do use quite a lot of USB devices, so I went with that choice intentionally. I should also say I imagined it would help with cooling, even if only slightly, which could be beneficial over time.
