The BIOS password screen is locked on my MSI motherboard. I haven’t changed the password yet, and I didn’t set one before. I’ve already tried clearing the CMOS, but it’s still stuck. The board is an MSI B560M PRO-E Micro ATX LGA1200 model.

2. Hast du versucht, ein leeres Passwort einzugeben oder im Handbuch nach dem Motherboard gesucht, um einen Standardpasswort zu finden?

Have you explored the Clear CMOS (JBAT1) jumper? Simply removing the battery may not reset the BIOS password if it isn't retained in volatile memory. https://download-2.msi.com/archive/mnu_e...00x150.pdf Based on the diagram on page 11, it's positioned close to the front panel headers. Spoiler

To reset CMOS, take out the battery and shut off the device. Ensure there’s no electricity flowing beforehand, as residual power can keep settings active. Unplug the unit, remove the battery, and gently press the power button several times to fully discharge the power supply capacitors. Let it sit that way for 10–15 minutes. Afterward, reinsert the battery and restore power. Test the result.

I managed to run it smoothly for roughly two years until one day I would restart it and immediately see an MSI window asking for a password.
