To reset CMOS, take out the battery and shut off the device. Ensure there’s no electricity flowing beforehand, as residual power can keep settings active. Unplug the unit, remove the battery, and gently press the power button several times to fully discharge the power supply capacitors. Let it sit that way for 10–15 minutes. Afterward, reinsert the battery and restore power. Test the result.
