Found a beta BIOS release. Tested it and the system kept restarting before stabilizing. I reinstalled the older stable version. Are there any plans for a non-beta release? My 3090 received the vbios update too. Also, is the resizable bar useful? I have an i9 9900k with 32GB RAM and a 7B12V1B1 (beta) motherboard.

It’s probably not worth it unless you try one of the 17 games that were mentioned; more will be added, but I’d really wait until they fix all the issues. Right now you’re essentially helping test bugs without pay.

I understand now. It’s fine to drop that. Thankfully I restored the previous stable release. I’ve heard some scary tales about beta updates—once you install one, you might not be able to revert. Fortunately, it didn’t happen for me. Since MSI already put out a beta for my MEG Z390 ACE, I think a solid build is on its way. Honestly, I don’t see a need to upgrade just for the resizable bar feature unless I really have to. My setup includes an i9 9900k, EVGA graphics card, and 32GB RAM. The CPU still performs quite well despite being several years old. I’m just hoping MSI releases a fully stable version soon.

Old thread alert! It's October 25th, 2021. I figured maybe the release would be out by now. I opened a ticket with MSI asking for an ETA on a full release BIOS that supports resizable bar. Here's there response: From: MSI OCSS <@msi.com> Sent: Monday, October 25, 2021 10:22 PM To: @gmail.com Subject: Your question has responded Notice: Please reply to this email directly, do not remove or modify the subject. Ticket: 7***** Resizable Bar BIOS Content: Dear tomscigars 0, Thanks for contacting MSI technical support. Regarding your concern, if you want to get the function, we suggest you firstly flash the beta BIOS which is also tested strictly before releasing. Anyway, we will also release non-beta version later. Thanks! Thanks for your cooperation in advance!

It's great to hear they're providing updates and planning a stable BIOS release. I've been eager for this too.
