Your MSI GE62VR 6RF is experiencing a delay when starting every 5 to 10 seconds due to the MSI Logo screen freezing for 3 to 5 minutes. Once Windows 10 loads, everything works properly. Both the 128GB SSD and 1TB HDD show normal SMART data. What might be causing this issue?

It might be several factors, but corrupted files are probably the main issue. You could attempt to fix them or reinstall Windows from the beginning. Do you have a backup of your crucial documents?

I own a few Steam games but mainly need the Adobe CS6 school edition there. I had to part with the PC version after a failed Windows Update caused it to crash. After a scan, I see some broken files that were previously fixed, which is good news.

The essential files reside on the HDD, though the recent transition from the old PC to the new one revealed more than just that. The basic cloning attempt failed, so I had to travel again to the school and back home to enter the necessary information.

I don’t fully power off the computer, I just lift the lid. Yet Windows automatically restarts it during updates, and that’s what seems to occur.

Updates can sometimes cause a PC to restart. I enabled manual updates and checked them periodically to reduce occurrences. I also activated 'Game Mode' in Windows 10 so it doesn't interrupt gameplay with crash warnings. Combining these steps has significantly cut down the issue.
