The MSI Afterburner application isn't allowing me to perform an overclock.
I've been attempting to push my 650Ti overclock to extend its lifespan until the Pascal cards become available, but it's behaving oddly and causing issues.
I used OC Guru because it's a gigabyte card and thought it would run better, but I encountered unexpected restrictions that didn't match the online guides. Eventually, it would only display a half-speed setting under load instead of the intended higher speed. This is quite frustrating.
Later, I switched to MSI Afterburner, which started malfunctioning. After a graphics card failure, adjusting the sliders caused them to jump to an unrealistically high value (5493) when I pressed "apply." After restarting the program, I lost control over all the sliders—voltage, memory clock, and core clock remain visible but inactive. They don't respond at all.
Additionally, my temperatures are extremely low, around 30°C, and I never reach above 40°C even during benchmark tests.
There were previous issues with this. The MSI isn't loading your GPU correctly. You should uninstall and reinstall the drivers, then reinstall Afterburner. It should resolve the problem.
