There are two consecutive buttons on my mouse wheel that trigger downward scrolling when activated. Attempting to blow air at it didn’t help; it’s possible the issue requires a more forceful airflow or there’s another factor involved. The Steelseries Rival 5 Wired Mouse might be affected by this.

Could be a faulty part; it seems the makers are cutting corners on the scroll wheel. My G502 sometimes doubles its movement.

I've had the mouse for a long time now. I only began using it more often after playing games that involve frequent mouse wheel clicks and scrolling.

It seems like you're asking about the product's condition and warranty status. Could you clarify if you're referring to a specific item or device? That way I can give you accurate information.

I don’t understand anything; I’ll explore other options and if that doesn’t work, I’ll replace the mouse. Just checked—this one is two years old, and the warranty only covers a 30-day return on Amazon, so it’s unlikely to help.

Maybe try rinsing it with some IPA.
