I have been using my Cooler Master MM531 for over a year and a half, and lately it has begun to exhibit some issues.
It is connected to the back of the motherboard alongside the keyboard, yet it remains the only one experiencing problems.
I can move it around and scroll without difficulty, but when attempting left/right or middle clicks it often fails to respond.
I have reinstalled the driver, but nothing has changed. Unplugging it and testing a different port sometimes resolves the issue temporarily, though it eventually stops working after a short period (seconds to minutes, no clear pattern).
I’ve tried using it on another computer, which functions normally, and I currently use a backup system that works well.
There was a double-clicking problem a few weeks ago; after opening it, the repair didn’t help. It seemed to resolve on its own within a few days.
Now it operates randomly—either it works or it doesn’t.
What might be causing these problems?

"I've tried it on another computer and it seems to work ".
Keyword being "seems".
Do some additional testing on other known working computers.
If the mouse continues to have problems then it is likely that there is some intermittent failure inside the mouse.
Could be a wire problem inside the mouse's USB plug.
Next time the mouse works or stops working gently wiggle, twist, bend, the mouse's USB cable from end to end. Determine if doing so causes the mouse to again work or stop working (no click responses).

Mouse seems to be broken. My parents used it for a while, but after a few minutes it stops working even though it can still move and scroll. The click doesn't function. Maybe it's time to get a new one. But at least the computer isn't failing.

True.
Considering the PC failure, is it essential to have all critical data backed up? At least twice, and it must be recoverable and readable... Problems like a malfunctioning mouse can occur intermittently or suddenly and severely.
