i've got a wireless mouse, probably around 3 to 6 months old. it's the galactic model from leeds products, with a doritos logo. about 20 minutes ago it started behaving oddly—tracking issues and screen jitter when you move it. after cleaning the lens and opening it up, everything looks fine. could this be related to the dongle? what might be causing it to fail suddenly? i'm using a wired backup and need some advice.

The Galactic Wireless Mouse works well for both travel and desk use. It features a compact Nano receiver capable of picking up signals up to 10 meters away. The device offers power-saving mode and three DPI settings (800, 1200, 1600) for adjusting speed. Comes with two AAA batteries included. Since it's been sitting on a store shelf for some time, battery life might be affected—consider replacing the batteries to see if that resolves the issue. Take Care and Good Luck.

Hi Rat, Start by swapping the battery. If that didn’t help, try using a different USB port. If the issue persists, it might be due to driver conflicts or a hardware issue with the mouse. In the worst case, the MBO could be defective. Many components are prone to failure over time.

Highly unlikely it would be MBO. It sounds extremely likely that this mouse may just be starting to fail. Especially since you are currently using a backup mouse and I assume it works fine, it sounds like a mouse issue and not an issue with your computer. Looking at the product link you sent, looks like they would not be built very well after all, especially as they are sold as bulk to companies that just want to slap their logos on it and give as a freebie.

It seems like a hardware issue is likely. Just the mouse is nearing the end of its lifespan.
