I use 500dpi on my Razer Naga X and eventually it will feel closer to 550/600 (to match CSGO standards I’d switch from 1.3 to 1.1, which seems to cause it to jump to 600dpi without notifying the software). Together with my cm for 360 turn being smaller, this same problem occurred with my Logitech G703. The only solution is to unplug and replug the mouse.
The issue has persisted on Windows 10 now, with the same problem appearing on Windows 11.
It remains unaffected whether Synapse is installed or not.
This problem also appeared before a significant hardware upgrade, meaning all my computer components are different.
I haven’t performed a full reinstall, but I’ve restarted Windows several times.

It seems I had to use a mouse at 500hz rather than 1000hz.

dpi matters for clarity, but when playing games with varying resolutions compared to your desktop, your mouse movements may change.
