The mouse ceased functioning once used with the PS4.
Hi there, I just received a Rog Strix Impact II mouse, and it functioned properly at first on my PC. However, when I tried using it with PlayStatin 4, it also worked well, but once I plugged it back in, it stopped working completely. My PC still recognizes the mouse and the RGB light is active, though everything else seems to be affected. I've reinstalled and updated the drivers, but that didn't fix the issue. The mouse isn't responding on my laptop or PlayStation either, and my other mouse still works fine on my PC. Any advice or help would be really appreciated!
I damaged an Xbox by inserting an unsupported WiFi adapter. From my experience with computers, USB usually stands for Universal, but this doesn’t seem to apply to gaming consoles. Before connecting anything to a console now, I always verify compatibility. It’s frustrating when your mouse stops working, yet you claim it was just purchased. I’d gladly return or exchange it for a different model and wouldn’t bring up the issue of using a PS4.

It seems improbable that connecting a mouse to a PS4 would cause it to stop functioning entirely, given that the mouse operated normally on the console and is compatible with typical PC peripherals. It’s possible the issue stems from a manufacturing flaw that led to premature failure.
When you say “doesn’t work,” are you referring to the cursor not moving at all or only partial movement? If the buttons respond but the cursor doesn’t track, you might want to check the mouse driver settings—adjusting DPI sensitivity or using the DPI selector button on the mouse could help. It’s also worth considering that a corrupted profile on the device might be the cause; trying a different profile could resolve the problem.
