I don’t understand what’s going wrong, but I’m experiencing a strange mouse input with acceleration. The only solution so far is to set the priority to med, but I’d like to know other possible fixes or what services are needed in real time to make the mouse input fully register.

Why are you focusing on priorities? They aren't meant for experimentation. Unless you understand precisely what and why, it's best to stick with the default settings.

thank you for the quick response <3
i haven’t encountered this problem before (i always had high priority) because for some reason, certain games like delta force - battlefield 5 have map loading issues. i checked the forum and found a high cpu priority fix, but i can’t confirm it worked. this issue started recently, coinciding with the last two weeks when every game i played required manually setting the priority back to normal in the registry editor. my idea is to give the mouse task the highest priority (though i don’t know its name).

when using a polling-rate supporting mouse, you might unintentionally press a button that raises the polling rate. once it reaches 1000, cpu usage increases. the default is 125. this can help reduce mouse lag.
