You just upgraded your motherboard and the OS handled it smoothly without needing a reinstall. To ensure smooth operation, remove the old Z97 drivers from your new Z170 and install the Z170 drivers, making sure they don’t conflict with each other.

New setup. Check Device Manager. Display concealed gadgets. Removing any unused hidden device from the list.

It should work fine on Windows 10 without needing a full reinstall. Just update the latest Intel chipset drivers and restart the system. Done!
