In short, I'm assembling a PC for my neighbor's son. His father asked me to source parts for his Ryzen 5 2400G and upgrade his older HP office PC. I found a decent ASUS Prime B350 Plus board locally, tested it, and everything seemed fine. When I tried booting the motherboard, the lights came on but the LEDs disappeared and no signal appeared. The seller said it worked with his Ryzen 5 3600, but I couldn't replicate the issue. I also tested with a Ryzen 5 5600, a spare Ryzen 3 1200, and different RAM, PSU, and even added an HD 6450 and RX 550, but still no signal. I requested a refund after checking the seller's feedback. There was no AM4 CPU socket on the board, and the seller only provided an aftermarket cooler bracket that didn't fit properly. What could be going wrong?
