I recently assembled a new rig about two weeks ago. While setting it up, I noticed one of the standoffs wasn’t properly placed in the designated motherboard holes (refer to the attached photo). The screw above the middle one is fully inserted, but the lower ones and those near the IO side aren’t visible. The three farthest standoffs on the IO side are correctly aligned and seated. This issue could affect performance over time—consider taking it apart to reposition the motherboard if needed.

The big ring-shaped trace around the hole is just a ground field, so it shouldn't cause any immediate issues. I'd back all the motherboard standoff screws off a little bit and make sure all of the standoffs are in their holes properly. There's a chance the center hole on your case and motherboard are both slightly out of spec, but I think that's unlikely. If you can't get it to line up, and if it will help you sleep at night, take the motherboard out and remove that standoff. As long as you're careful connecting things to the motherboard in that area, it should be okay. Stick something non-conductive like a rubber chair foot in there if you want to give the board a little more support in that area.

Thanks for the feedback. It’s making the board a bit misaligned, which is concerning. I’ll probably reposition the mobo to fix it.

I identified the perpetrator—it was an incorrect type of standoff all the time. I don’t recall whether it was pre-installed or if I placed it accidentally. No matter, I chose the correct action to examine it.
