I purchased an Amazon Resale motherboard, an Asus TUF B650-E Wi-Fi, and am currently testing it while updating the BIOS. I’ve noticed a chip missing in the bottom right corner near the I/O and SATA ports. Could you explain its purpose? Is it necessary for the system to function properly? Ideally I’d like it, but if I can skip it to save money and time, that would be fine too.
The item appears to be a bare solder pad based on the image from Amazon and ASUS.
Thanks in advance! I'll check for additional images if possible. If they're not available on the official ASUS pages, I agree you're correct.
All images on ASUS's site feature the golden section, which should resolve any concerns. It looks as intended now.
