I'm a relatively skilled PC builder, yet I'm still struggling to get this system up and running.
PC Specifications:
CPU: Ryzen 7 5800XT
MOBO: MSI B550 Pro-VDH
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws 32GB (4 x 8 GB)
Storage: Western Digital Black SN770 2TB M.2
GPU: ASUS ROG STRIX GAMING OC RTX 3060 12GB
Case: Lian Li A3-mATX
PSU: Lian LI SP 750
Essentially, after assembling everything and turning on the power button, nothing happens. No fans are running. The MOBO is receiving power, but when I disconnect the PSU cable from the GPU, a red light illuminates.

I've attempted various solutions: switched PSU to EVGA and SAMA, used a Ryzen 5 3600 instead, changed the case, connected an ASUS TUF Gaming A520M-PLUS, tried with one RAM stick, used different outlets, performed a paperclip test on the PSU, manually bridged power, removed the CMOS battery for five minutes, and even handled the board in an anti-static bag.

I noticed some reports suggesting the MOBO might be damaged somewhere, though I can't confirm. The screws on the case seem different from standard MOBO fasteners, so I'm planning to adjust the standoffs and screws to test. This has been a challenge for about four days, and ideally I wouldn't need to purchase additional components. Your advice would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
I assembled everything and when I pressed the power button nothing happened. No fans or anything. The MOBO is supplying power because when I unplugged the PSU cable from the GPU, a red indicator light appeared.
Have you breadboarded the system to check if any components failed at startup? Try using two RAM sticks instead of four, placing them in slots A2 and B2 on the board.
Switched the PSU to both an EVGA and SAMA model, but the same problem persisted.
Could you clarify the make and models of the PSUs you used, along with their ages if they’ve been running for a while?
I tested the PSU with a paperclip test and it passed.
This test seems limited—it only confirms the fan in the PSU spins, not the actual power output.
I read something about the MOBO being shorted somewhere; however, I’m not sure. The screws on the case don’t match standard MOBO fasteners, so I plan to replace the standoffs and screws to see if that resolves the issue.
As you’re a fairly experienced builder, for clarity, here are images of the screws you’re using—this should help us stay aligned.
Your motherboard features a Flash BIOS button on the back; refer to this guide:

to reflash the BIOS with the latest version.

I have been experimenting with various setups on a breadboarded motherboard. I've tested both two sticks of RAM and one stick. All components are new except for the GPU and the CPU I replaced with the Ryzen 5 3600. The EVGA 650 BP and SMA 750W GT 750 are installed. Below is a photo of the screws I'm using. I plan to flash the BIOS and share the results.

I updated the BIOS but the problem remains unchanged.
