The motherboard lacks Secure Boot functionality.
I recently bought a compact mini PC from a small Chinese manufacturer (Machenike GTX R7-8845HS) for my regular tasks. Later, I noticed it lacks the ability to activate 'Secure Boot' in the BIOS settings. I followed several steps: reinstalling Windows 11 using the original enterprise ISO, using a clean SSD, and configuring the system to only use UEFI boot. I searched through the BIOS menu around 1000 times without finding the Secure Boot option. I attempted to reset the BIOS, restore factory settings, and disable various boot modes, but nothing worked. I asked the maker’s support team for clarification, but they haven’t responded yet. I explored how AMI BIOS can be adjusted and found the setting exists in the AMIBCP tool. The issue remains—no visible option appears. Changing the "Access/Use" setting to "User" didn’t help either. I suspect the manufacturer might use a standard AMI Aptio BIOS version, possibly hiding the setting for simplicity or security reasons. It seems there may be internal logic preventing access, or the feature was intentionally omitted. If you have any ideas or methods to modify the BIOS, I’d appreciate your guidance!
