Video only in PCI slot 2. Using the first X16 slot triggers a VGA error. Setting two slots to 8x works, but the top one fails. This issue appears with the CPU or motherboard? TY... Gigabyte Aorus B450 Aorus M GTX 1070 Ti Corsair CX550 16 GB DDR4 Ryzen 3600

GPU size could damage the PCIe connector, but an x8 slot works just fine; performance won’t drop by more than 2%.

It might be the motherboard, but I've heard about RAM problems that could cause this. It could help to test one stick at a time in different slots and see if the issue resolves.
