The motherboard isn't recognizing the RAM.
We were investigating some performance problems on my PC. My girlfriend noticed her system was acting up, so we started testing various components. Initially, swapping the GPU resolved the issue—it worked perfectly on my machine. Next, we tried her RAM in mine, but it failed to boot. We then tested her RAM inside my PC and found it wouldn’t start either. The fans were spinning, and the DRAM indicator lit up. We swapped the RAM sticks quickly, eventually getting it to boot with just one stick in the fourth slot. We tried placing other slots in the second one, but it still wouldn’t recognize the remaining RAM. When we used all four slots, the computer wouldn’t power on at all, and the DRAM light stayed on. I checked the BIOS settings, but no problems were apparent. It seems something might have been damaged during the RAM changes. If you know anything about the specs or have any ideas, it would be helpful.
Consider starting with all the necessary RAM slots first, then clear the CMOS. This ensures you have the right configuration before resetting.
