Hello, new poster! I just bought the Gigabyte x570 Aorus Elite motherboard with addressable RGB headers and VDG connectors. The case I’m using is the Aerocool Python. The video guide for connecting the RGB headers seems a bit old because Gigabyte changed the connector layout—my setup uses the MSI/ASUS version, which fits perfectly. I’ve connected the Molex connector so the fans are working, but I want to use RGB Fusion instead of the preset mode. I’ve been struggling for about four hours trying to fix this. The controller’s presets don’t match the colors I want, and I know Gigabyte Fusion software isn’t perfect—it’s crashed before. It still recognizes the board for lighting but not the case fans. I’ve uninstalled Fusion and tried OpenRGB, but it doesn’t show the case fans either. I’m wondering if there’s a setting in BIOS that controls fan selection, or if I missed a connector.

According to the tutorial, I’m plugging it in this way:
"I'd appreciate any help at all, since I really like this board so far."

Feel free to share more details if you need further assistance!

Edit: I also noticed to plugged in the cable meant for other motherboard brands like msi and asus. I don't have two connectors in on my hub plug but since you have apparently one meant for gigabyte rbg fusion, try using that one instead? Second edit: Ok i just read again the post and noticed you specified the this is a older gigabyte connector, maybe it's a problem with the hub then or the just that RGB fusion is crap. You can anyway try what I wrote below. Hey I have the same motherboard, you can first try to plug it into D_LED1 Located here:

Hey, I should have made the edit. It turns out you need to press the LED color change switch to sync it with the motherboard, but RGB fusion wasn’t working and caused my PC to blue screen a few times. I ended up returning the board since I had other problems, and I went with the Asus TUF X570 Gaming Plus because it was more affordable and had similar power phases. I also like the option to overclock a bit.
