It's the USB connected right next to the flash button. I realized we had attempted this with another USB drive earlier, so it probably isn't the issue. If it is, I'd rather not have to purchase additional drives just to get the computer running.
You can purchase an Athlon 200ge to upload the board and flash it. Alternatively, you can use the free version at the bottom of the page linked below. https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/pa-100 GL.
It seems you've identified the correct USB port. I wasn't aware the device was protected by a case. It looks like a solid choice considering the problems we're facing. At this stage, the best path appears to be locating a compatible CPU, updating the BIOS using m-flash, and then installing the new chip. Alternatively, you might find an older USB flash drive that works with BIOS flashback if you manage to track it down.
I lack the purchase records for the MOBO and CPU, so AMD won’t forward the CPU for BIOS updates.
