Hello, I recently bought a new monitor and after completing the setup, my PC started beeping five times during startup. A quick search on the internet revealed some older forum discussions about this issue being linked to the motherboard not recognizing the GPU. However, when I let the system sit, it booted normally to Windows with everything functioning perfectly. The problem appears only during the POST phase. I also noticed that the Asrock logo and the BIOS boot option disappeared when I switched to the new monitor. Before that, I had a display port adapter connected instead of the new monitor. Interestingly, turning off the display port monitor didn’t cause any issues, while the POST screen with the Asrock logo appeared on my HDMI-connected monitor without problems. I’ve tried different display cables, suspecting the cheap one from Amazon might be the culprit, but it didn’t resolve the issue. Any suggestions on why my PC isn’t detecting the GPU when using the new monitor? Here’s a screenshot of my setup for reference: https://www.newegg.com/msi-g27cq4-e2-27-...6824475294

Yes, everything looks set up correctly. The monitor should be connected to the right input channel.

It's a straightforward issue. I attempted to use the monitor in auto input mode and also set it to show through the display port.

Check if the monitor receives output via any other port, including HDMI.

The monitor functions properly through the display port after the PC starts up in Windows. It fails to connect during the POST phase. I haven’t tested HDMI connections since I prefer the display port for better resolution.

I have tried both of the display ports on the GPU. No difference.

It seems the display might be slow to initialize. Some monitors display a picture during startup, while others only activate at the login screen. However, entering BIOS can trigger an image after a delay.

Occasionally certain bios fail to appear on the displayport of specific GPUs, like the 4090 not showing anything on DP. It seems there isn’t an obvious solution—perhaps a BIOS upgrade would help.

Just DP being DP. It hasn't functioned correctly with modern BIOS on three different brands and display models. That's why I always use HDMI for one of my secondary devices to view the BIOS.

I attempted to start from BIOS and waited about five minutes, but it didn’t appear. Launching Windows is faster than waiting that long. It seems the problem isn’t related to the system waking up.
