Hello! I’m facing a small issue with my computer. About nine months ago I powered it off to focus on studies during the summer break. Nine months have gone by and summer is approaching, so I decided to try it again. This isn’t a gaming machine—I mainly use it for programming. The problem started when I turned it on suddenly and heard a continuous, long beep from the motherboard that didn’t stop unless I powered it down. Components: CPU – Intel i5 2400; GPU – none (integrated); RAM – Kingston (likely) 4GB (four sticks); Motherboard – unknown, but I think this PC is prebuilt.

!!! I'm planning to proceed; it seems it might have been relocated during my dust inspections or moved up the stairs!

Hello! I checked the setup and noticed a blue RAM module from Lenovo. When I unplugged it, the system functioned properly, but connecting it caused issues. Any suggestions? Please note this is the third model shown in the images.

It seems this memory slot might be faulty based on your previous system setup. You could swap the sticks into different locations or test booting with one at a time to identify the issue. This suggests you're considering replacing it with a new RAM module.

Sure, I understand. You're looking for a replacement, possibly because it hasn't been used in nine months. You mentioned you can handle 12GB and don't need more than 8GB of RAM at the moment. Thanks for reaching out!
