The motherboard boots from a breadboard, yet the case doesn't complete the startup.
Hey there, so I just finished assembling all the components for my new PC. Everything functioned perfectly on the breadboard. Once I moved it into the case and powered it up, the lights came on right away—almost instantly. But then they went out immediately. Turns out I needed to add risers. After installing them, everything worked fine. The PC started up, lights stayed on, but the motherboard lights remained off. When I checked again, the motherboard lit up normally, so I reworked it all over again. Still the same result.
I searched for solutions for days and weeks, but nothing helped. Then I had a breakthrough: I rebuilt it using the breadboard again. Suddenly everything worked perfectly! Now the PC runs smoothly, and the motherboard lights are on too.
I’ve been learning about building PCs for about 15 years now, and this was a tough one. I’m an amateur, but I really need guidance. Thanks for your help!
P.S. All systems are working in the breadboard version—I’ve played in games like Modern Warfare and Apex. It took me a long time to save at least $900 from my own money before this project. I want to use it properly, not just for fun. It’s frustrating seeing my hard work go to waste! Thanks again!
