I received an Aorus Z490 Master from a relative whose BIOS was damaged. I attempted to flash it using the Ch341A, but the software required by the clip isn't compatible with that chip. I'm stuck and can't locate a bios flashback option. Any advice? (File: 2147290422_20220526_145844_0011.mp4)
Sorry, this card doesn't include a flashback feature. You'll need to use an external flasher to achieve that effect.
I've used an external flasher, but it doesn't work with that chip.
I performed a search and discovered this... it seems updates might be causing issues. The linked forum is no longer available or has been relocated. There are also reports of M.2 incompatibility problems. Another potential cause for the corruption could be present. Updated on May 26, 2022 by An0maly_76 Revised with more details
The family attempted to assemble a hackintosh but encountered failure. They handed it over to you for your PC build. Both the main BIOS and the backup BIOS were faulty, so they tried using the Ch341A chip, but it didn’t work either. You don’t have any storage media installed yet.
This board includes two BIOS options. If you're comfortable with soldering, you might want to experiment with swapping the chip to check for improvements.
