Hey there! Just built my first PC last night, but when I tried managing the cables, both the CPU and motherboard 24-pin ones refused to come out. I know about the clip on the motherboard, but it still won’t budge. The CPU cable is a 2x4 and doesn’t have a clip either. Need some help figuring this out!

These cables usually include clips for securing them in place.

On the 24-pin motherboard, attempt to lift it right after the section where the 20 and 24 pins separate; they frequently become stuck there.

Gently shake or rock it along its length. This method helps release stubborn plugs without putting extra stress on the motherboard. EDIT: As Xavier mentioned, you should also apply pressure to the latch.

Place your thumb on the latch and gently move the connector. They contain many pins and tend to resist movement, yet the latch plays a key role.

Unplugging 24pins can be tricky, right? Follow the advice from two people above me. As @Middcore mentioned, the 2x4pin CPU power connector includes a latch—usually a 'split-in-half' type. Start by removing one set of four pins at a time (four then another four) and gently wiggle or rock the side if necessary.
