I rely on Mate and likely Cinnamon (or whatever Mint uses). I'm unsure which one is superior, and whether they outperform the ones I haven't tested. All the options I've tried are better than Gnome.

I'm using Cinnamon because it suits my needs well. Linux offers great flexibility, and the ideal desktop is one you tailor to your preferences.
