The most frustrating moments when you're a 'fan'
Hi,
I was thinking about whether there have been any moments in a game or genre that really let me down, especially when you’re almost at the top of your game. That’s what happened with Minecraft when I first saw some matches from the Everchosen tournament linked to Total War: Warhammer.
It felt like pro players were fighting against each other, expecting tactics and strategies from elite generals who have dedicated their lives to their country.
What I saw was a complete mess—units clashing without any understanding of formations or balanced builds. In about half of the matches I watched, one side would send tanks while the other relied on cheap, street-level weapons, expecting them to charge into battle.
Everchosen? That’s not what it should be.
Pah!!!
Nevermore
Unreal tournament. It was just abandoned by Epic, and UT4 feels pretty rough now.
yea square ..... i'm not entirely sure how i should perceive nier automata.... In no way i'm planning to buy the special edition .... and all sillyness aside to use THAT certain mod that increases textures.. it is really impressive to see how lame, old and cheap square's choice looks over that aiden thing. Buildings and all though the worse part is really the popping of trees and buildings with diferent viewing distances. I'm curious to see how the new gpu will adress nier automata unmodded because in all honesty i had a lot of fun with that game... currently chasing ending 2 so i have enough road ahead of me .... On the newer games part i will buy the reimagining of FF VII maybe as last game i buy from that scene
FFXV content has been heavily canceled, and Trails of Cold Steel 3/4 isn't arriving on PC yet...
The Meet Your Match and the End of the Line Updates for Team Fortress 2 are two of the worst updates. I need to show EotL a fresh perspective: what occurs when 2014-era Valve teams up with some community members to release an update? It consistently lags and is eventually dropped in an incomplete version. The weapons planned for this release vanished after Smissmas 2014. If that doesn’t hint at "Valve," I have no idea what else is coming. In reality, it turned into a rather average cosmetic patch with a lengthy Source Filmmaker tutorial attached. And Snowplow, the map deemed "too confusing for new players," ended up being released six months later due to its extreme complexity.
Now shifting focus to Meet Your Match, I’m convinced this update was also left incomplete. I still recall it taking an unreasonable amount of time to sync with a Casual server, only to find that matchmaking was broken and the game unplayable afterward. This update marked the end of Quickplay in favor of a much less polished casual and competitive matchmaking system—functioning barely at launch. But don’t worry; cosmetic improvements and war paint additions are what this update provided beyond replacing a decent match-joining mechanism with a far worse one. The Jungle Inferno patch largely fixed the matchmaking issues, making it more acceptable in my opinion.
Just cause 4. It was really disappointing. The game seemed poorly made, performed poorly, and it gives the impression that the developers didn’t care. It looked like a test of their new engine, but it fell short as a complete game.
