The first game I played never ran smoothly on my setup, especially at 60 FPS or higher in 1080p.

I tried Metro Exodus RTX (RTX 1.0, not the Enhanced Edition) with my GTX1070 OC #RTXonGTX. Most games loaded around 480-576p Max Quality—like PS3 Techdemo Filmic Quality. Just for fun. Suggest using the tiniest monitor you own for this kind of casual gaming test (19-22") to enjoy lower resolution without a CRT, since larger panels can make pixels blurry and distort the image.

I understand your point, though I believe the issue lies more in the game's incomplete state and lack of optimization rather than its difficulty.

Trying to keep Control at 1440p pushed it to its limits while maintaining a decent frame rate. Marvel's Avengers works similarly—it’s challenging to run everything at ultra or max settings without sacrificing smoothness. Most of the visuals can be adjusted, but many advanced options are reserved for high-end GPUs only. If you’re aiming for 60 fps or higher at 1440p, you’ll need a powerful setup. Interestingly, I discovered a 2013 Xbox One game called Ryse: Son of Rome that appears to demand significant performance.

Monster Hunter World (2018) operates smoothly around 27 frames per second with basic graphics settings on a standard PS4. This performance is likely impressive considering the technical constraints of the time.
